There are health benefits to drinking coffee besides the caffeine buzz!
The NY Times (link) reported yesterday that:
“…coffee and tea drinkers are less likely to develop Type 2 diabetes than non-drinkers, with those drinking three to four cups a day at a 25% lower risk for the disease than those who drink less than two cups…”
This health benefit pertains to both caffeinated and decaffeinated coffees and teas.
They are still doing further studies to figure out what exactly it is in coffee/tea that lessens the likelihood of Type 2 diabetes.
That just give me more reason to drink LOTS of my favorite Philz Coffee blend, Silken Splendor. Mmm, mmm, good.
